This recipe features our delicious pears from Kiyokawa Orchards in Oregon available every fall. ๐ Also making an appearance is our amazing raw pecans from Georgia available every November!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 Oregon pears peeled cored and chopped (any variety will work but Bosc or Concord work best!)ย
- 1/2 cup chopped raw Georgia pecans
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350ยฐ. Spray a 9×5 loaf pan with cooking spray.ย
- In a small skillet, toast pecans for 5 minutes on medium heat.ย
- Whisk together oil, sugar, and eggs. Stir in pears, pecans and vanilla. Set aside.ย
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.ย
- Slowly add wet ingredients to dry ingredients, be sure not to over-mix.ย
- Pour into prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted to the middle of the loaf comes out clean.ย
- Cool bread for 20 minutes in pan, remove from pan and let cool completely for 2 hours.ย
- Serve with our honey butter and enjoy!ย
