This recipe makes one 12 oz jar. Add it to your soda, cocktails, ice cream, tea, pancakes and more!
Ingredients
- 4 smaller Pears
- 1 ½ Cup Water
- 1 Cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon Kosher Salt
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- Slice pears into ½ inch pieces.
- Add water, sugar, kosher salt, lemon juice and pears to a pot and bring to a boil.
- Turn the heat down to a simmer, cook until pears begin to break apart, about 15 minutes.
- Carefully strain hot syrup through a fine mesh strainer.
- Stir in vanilla.
- Cool and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 weeks.
